As a citizen in the state of Vermont, I vow to be active in keeping our state from becoming the "Me First" socialist state in the union. If it were up to Bernie Sanders and Patrick Leahy, we would have the first totally run government healthcare system in this country. The heck with choices, as far as Bernie is concerned. He wants no other options. And he makes no bones about it. There is talk and some political goings on concerning making Vermont the first "testing ground" for the public option. How many Vermonters are aware of this I wonder? Probably not many. I've been living in Vermont since April 2005. I got very involved with the Tea Party this past July after Obama was elected. The only thing I did politically before this was, put a sign in my front yard to endorse a candidate a few years back, and I voted. That's it! Now a days, I feel as if I need to be involved or else I am not doing my duty as a citizen of the United States of America. Heck, we are losing our country to a bunch of power driven Socialist, Marxist, and Communists! Do I think my country is perfect and without fault? No! But it sure as heck beats any other political system in the world. We are a free democracy and we must keep it that way. What I don't understand is why these people want to change us. My last poster at a rally read, "DICTATOR-IN-CHIEF. I HOPE TO CHANGE THE UNITED STATES AND FORM IT INTO MY OWN IMAGE." Little did we know the hope and change were meant to hurt the United States, not help it. But, the bigger question is WHY? Why does Obama want to change us? We may never fully know the answer to that question because he is very good at hiding his true self. Is it because he doesn't like America, or is it because he thinks he's been "annointed" for a mission to make us blend into the great world society which he seems so ideologically tuned in to. As of late, I think it's because he wants to become the President of the World. He doesn't represent the United States in any of his speeches when he addresses world platforms. He addresses the world with the United States in the world, as part of this big puzzle that he is putting together. This is America, but let's see how it fits globally. I'll be darned, I had no idea his first allegiance was to the world. I thought he was the President of the United States.I didn't vote for him of course, but I was hoping that once he got elected it would humble him so as to want to do what's right and good for all the people of this great country. But, the opposite happened. He turned into some kind of narcissist beast that the whole world is in amazement over. Most of us are not amused. He does not have our best interest at heart. He does not hold our economy at heart, he does not hold our national security at heart, he doesn't hold our armed forces at heart, he does not hold our private sector at heart, he does not hold the health of our citizens at heart, nor our democracy, nor our constitution, nor our history! Now that we have him, what do we do with him? Please hear me, we have to wake up everyday. and stand strong for our country. We have to watch and listen to what this man is doing every moment, and don't be fooled by the liberal media. We have to get our own information by several good truth telling media sources out there that we trust to tell it like it is. And we have to stand firm in not letting this political machine take over our country with the intent of turning it into The United Socialist States of America. We need to survive 3 and 1/2 years of a battle within our country by our own government. It's a tough battle. One we haven't dealt with before. But, this is America. We have overcome many challenges. This battle may be the hardest yet, because the enemy is within, but I know the backbone of America. I saw the awesome faces of the people at the DC march. I see the faces of people going by waving and honking as we do our regular sign waves here in Vermont. I see the people and hear the voices at townhalls across the country. We are passionate about our freedoms. We love our freedom and we love our country too much to loose this battle. Freedom belongs to all, but at the same time it is very personal. Having our individual freedom taken away is like being violated. It feels like our government is raping us. It stirs emotions of anger and distrust. How dare they do this to us! Let's get ready to make some huge changes in 2010! Last time I checked, we still have the right to vote! Let's rock the boat and vote, vote, vote them all out!!!!!!!!!!!!
